Playbook Privacy Policy

TL;DR (The "No-BS" Version)

  • No Passwords: We use magic links. We never see or store a password for you.
  • Your Ideas: We use your product description to generate tactics. We don't "sell" your ideas to competitors or data brokers.
  • The Stack: We use industry-standard tools (Stripe, OpenAI, etc.) to run the service.
  • Deletion: If you want your data gone, just email us. We'll wipe it from the DB.
  • No Creepy Tracking: We don't use invasive trackers. We just want to know if the site is working.

1. Data We Collect (And Why)

We only collect the minimum viable data needed to make Playbook work for you:

  • Email Address: Used for passwordless login (magic links) and to send you your generated Playbooks.
  • Product & Audience Descriptions: The "inputs" you provide so our engine can generate your bespoke tactics.
  • Transaction Data: If you upgrade, our payment processor handles the billing. We see the last 4 digits of your card and your zip code, but never your full card details.

2. What We Don't Collect

  • Passwords: Since we use passwordless login, your password doesn't exist in our database.
  • Sensitive Personal Info: We don't need your home address, your phone number, or your social security number.
  • Behavioral Tracking: We don't sell your browsing habits to advertisers.

3. How We Process Your Data (The AI Clause)

To generate your 80–100 tactics, your product/audience inputs are processed through our AI stack.

  • Privacy: We use Enterprise-grade APIs (like OpenAI or Anthropic) that do not use your inputs to train their global models. Your "secret sauce" product idea stays yours.
  • Internal Use: We only look at inputs/outputs to debug the "vibe" of the results or to improve the prompt engineering for future users.

4. Our Sub-Processors (The Stack)

To keep Playbook running, we share specific data with these trusted partners:

  • Polar: To process your $29/$49 payments.
  • Postmark/Resend: To send your magic login links and Playbook PDFs.
  • OpenAI/Anthropic: To generate the bespoke marketing tactics.
  • Plausible/Fathom: For privacy-friendly analytics (no IP tracking, no cookies).

5. Cookies

We use a small number of "functional cookies" to keep you logged in. We don't use marketing or retargeting cookies that follow you around the internet like a "scammy salesman."

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Retention: We keep your Playbooks saved so you can access them whenever you log back in.

Deletion: You have the "Right to be Forgotten." If you've reached your $10k MRR goal and want to close shop, or if you just want your data out of our IDE, email us at [Insert Support Email] and we will purge your records within 7 days.

7. Security

We use SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit. Because we use passwordless login, the "Security" of your account is as strong as the security of your email inbox. Use 2FA on your email!

8. Changes to this Policy

If we change our stack or how we handle data, we'll update this page. If it's a major change (like a change in ownership), we'll shoot you an email.
